We know losing weight can improve health but it may not be easy for some people. The HCG Diet can be a game changer.
Doctors and wellness professionals are continuously evangelizing healthier lifestyles and lower body fat, and for good reason. Obesity can make you vulnerable to numerous ailments some even life-threatening, such as such as diabetes or high blood-pressure.
However, after working with hundreds of clients in my coaching practice, it is evident that it’s not always easy for some people to shed the necessary body fat to reduce the risk of these diseases. There are thousands of metabolically deranged people who were successful in losing weight with these plans where all other diets failed, in spite of the skepticism of others about the effectiveness or safety of weight loss injections.

Lose Weight Fast Tip 1: Drink 1-2 Tbsp. of Apple Cider Vinegar (ACL) Twice a Day
While there’s no such thing as a ‘magic bullet’, incorporating apple cider vinegar into your HCG Diet may help you get over any noticeable plateaus you may hit.
One recent study of 14 people showed that those who drank a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar mixed with eight ounces of water before a meal had lower blood glucose levels due to how it improved the way in which the liver and muscles absorbed sugar from the blood.
Another study on rats exposed to apple cider vinegar, found an increase of the enzyme, AMPK, which increases fat burning and decreases fat and sugar production in the liver.
In a report by Dr. Oz on the benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar:
“In a study where mice were fed a high-fat diet, they found a significant increase in the genes responsible for fat burning. In a test conducted on humans over a 12-week period, obese Japanese participants were split into three groups, one of which consumed 500 ml of a drink that had either 15 ml, 30 ml, or 0 ml of vinegar.
When measuring the body weight, BMI, visceral fat, waist circumferences, and serum triglyceride levels at the end of the study, they found that those numbers were significantly lower in the 15 ml and 30 ml group, as compared to the people consuming 0 ml. These results show a connection between apple cider vinegar and a reduced likelihood of developing metabolic syndrome.”
I found the best way to drink this tart concoction is to mix one tablespoon of Bragg’s ACV with 8 ounces of chilled mineral or filtered water. To that I add a pinch of pure powdered Stevia (do NOT use Truvia or any other Stevia blend as they oftentimes sneak in other fillers that could cause inflammatory reactions in your body) and up to 1/8 tsp of pure organic ground cinnamon.
Bonus Tip: Want even better results? add up to 1/8 tsp of polyphenol rich blueberry extract powder. Drink on an empty stomach for best results
Lose Weight Fast Tip 2: Drink Hot Water with Lemon

Lose Weight Fast Tip 3: Use Lipotropic or Vitamin B Injection Supplements
Specific blends of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants can aid in the improvement of general health, weight loss, athletic performance and a host of other medical conditions.
They are commonly used in conjunction with the HCG Diet to assist weight loss, increase energy, and reduce cravings for carbohydrates in those on reduced calorie diets.
They have also been purported by its users and practitioners to help speed up overall metabolic processes and create a greater feeling of overall energy & well-being. There are several ways in which lack of sleep can contribute to stalled weight loss as we discuss in that post, so try to get an extra hour of sleep a night while on the diet.
You may be surprised at the results and like myself, find that staying up that extra hour was more a result of habit rather than necessity
Lose Weight Fast Tip 7: Avoid “HCG Diet Approved” Processed and Packaged Foods
There are a lot of food processing companies who’ve jumped on the HCG bandwagon that are promoting and/or manufacturing processed, pre-packaged “HCG Diet approved” snacks and meals.
No matter how enticing that ‘HCG Diet approved’ energy bar, shake, or “zero calorie / zero carb” food or condiment is, they’re all best to avoid.
Why? Well first and foremost, your body should be detoxing as it sheds fat. Most of the aforementioned foods have hidden ingredients, colorings, or preservatives that could be causing an inflammatory response in your body.
Inflammation will stall weight loss, so it’s best to avoid these foods altogether.
Find a good HCG Diet Recipe Book or just google “HCG Diet Recipes” and put some time aside once a week to make your own marinades, spice mixes, and salad dressings in advance-out of real food ingredients. Then divide mixes into Ziploc bags or even better, glass food storage containers.
Lose Weight Fast Tip 8: Do Not Deviate from the Original Dr. A.T.W. Simeons HCG Diet Protocol
I’ve noticed in the past few years many Weight Loss Clinics and diet doctors, both on and off the Internet, promoting “new and improved” HCG diet Menu plans and additional ‘allowed’ foods.
They entice you to ‘join’ or ‘sign up’ for their program and you’ll learn “how you can eat 500-1,000 more calories a day” or “eat more foods than you ever thought possible” and still lose weight. Then lead you right into their online shop of aforementioned processed and packaged products that could actually prevent you from losing weight…sound familiar?
You may still lose the weight but there will be none of the biological or physiological transformation to your body and metabolism that will happen with the original diet.
This is not the platform to go into scientific detail of the ‘how’ and ‘why’ these profound metabolic changes occur, but if you read Dr. Simeons’ original manuscript (the Father of the HCG Diet) you’ll understand more of the bio-mechanics behind the HCG Diet Plan.
The first problem with this is that any deviation from the Dr. A.T.W. Simeons HCG Diet Protocol, “Pounds & Inches – A New Approach to Obesity,” is not the true HCG Diet Protocol.
You may be doing a VLCD (very low-calorie diet), using real HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) by injection, drops, or pellets, but you are NOT doing the real HCG Diet Protocol.
You may lose up to 2 lbs. a day, but the biological and physiological changes that reset your hypothalamus will not occur. And I would bet the farm that the weight will creep right back within a year.
The foods in the original protocol are specifically chosen to promote a biochemical reaction. There is a reason why you are only permitted to eat one type of vegetable per meal, reading the book will explain the ‘why’ in detail.
Let’s be completely honest here. When you do the diet exactly as it was planned you should only have to do it once. But long-term success rests upon using this physiological reset as an opportunity to catalyze true lifestyle changes.
The only caveat I will add to that statement is—unless you experience some other stressor to your body that is powerful enough to affect your physiology such as those we discuss in my “Why Can’t I Lose Weight” blog series.
Lose Weight Fast Tip 9: Don’t Obsess About Your Food
This tip comes from my own experience and the reason why I do not condone the use of “new and improved” versions of the diet and processed/packaged foods as discussed above.
Personally, I find that this type of obsessing about “what I’m going to eat,” trying to make every meal taste like it could be served in a gourmet restaurant, and/or tricking my body into having a couple hundred more calories a day, actually makes me hungrier and more fixated I am on food even when my body is completely sated.
This is the main reason why I hate all the obsession with HCG Diet Recipes.
Sadly, HCG Diet Recipes have the highest search results on the internet, and a lot of web sights take advantage of that to lure people in like spider webs.
Let me clarify, I have nothing against HCG Diet recipes per sea, but I feel that the last thing an HCG Dieter should be doing is obsessing over trying to make a 250 calorie meal taste like a gourmet feast.
The superior approach is teaching dieter’s a variety of low-calorie cooking techniques (poaching, broiling, steaming etc.) to perfectly cook a chicken breast (or other low-calorie protein). Then teach the art of combining spices and low calorie flavors (or simply using off-the-shelf-organic spice blends) so that you can take a naked chicken breast and make it taste delicious and varied.
That is a far more valuable skill that will be utilized even after Phase 2 of the HCG Diet is over. I highly doubt that you’ll be pulling out HCG Diet recipies once you’ve completed Phase 2, but learning low-calorie cooking tequniques and using spice combinations will stay with your forever.
The bottom line is this: You are only on the protocol for 28 DAYS. When you step back and look at the bigger picture, that’s a mere nanosecond of your life.
Don’t obsess over recipes and fixate on food. Just eat broiled, baked, steamed, or poached protein with similarly cooked veggies with different herb and spice blends you create and the beginning of the week to change the flavor profile every day and find something else to focus on other than food.
Hypothetically speaking, if a stranger walked up to you out of the blue and said, “If I told you that you can take a magic shot that would eradicate your hunger so you could eat just two small meals a day for ONLY 28 days of your life, and not only would you lose up to 2 pounds a day but you would never gain it back, would you do it?… BUT, he adds, “you have to follow a very limited diet of only about 30 food choices in that time. Would you still do it?”
(Yes, the stranger needs grammar lessons because that was a run-on sentence, but you get my gist.)
Just take a moment to absorb that…
Only 28 DAYS of your life on an HCG weight loss diets that will change your metabolism as long as you followed the exact rules or it wouldn’t work correctly. Would you do it?
I would, I did, and it paid off for 5 YEARS until I got bit by a tick and got Lyme disease, but that’s a story for another day that you can read about here if you’re interested.
My point is, instead of using so much energy and food fixation to squeeze in a few hundred more calories a day or eat a processed meal replacement bar, or make your meals taste like they were served in a 5-start restaurant by slathering them in 0 calorie fake food sauces filled with chemicals is not going to bring lasting success.
Use the 28 days to try to put your focus into some other distraction, eat real food and get real results. Get your mind off food and direct your focus elsewhere for this short time and just follow the diet.
Try this exercise: every time you sit down to a meal, pretend you’re on a deserted island and you had a magic genie all to yourself that’s conjuring the meal in front of you when all of your other stranded shipmates are eating dead crickets or grass (that will make your chicken breast and broccoli look like a feast!)
The 28 days of Phase II should not be about focusing on your food, that’s for Phase III and beyond.
Lose Weight Fast Tip 10: Practice Mindfulness or Meditate
Reducing your stress levels can be a major factor in your weight loss diets success. The mere act of cutting back on calorie intake as dramatically as we do in the HCG Diet Program can put your body in a state of primal stress.
Your reptilian brain senses the depletion of food intake and goes into a state of panic, even if you’re not actually hungry.
Guided meditation is one of the best meditation techniques for managing stress. It’s a lot more affordable than taking a course in TM (Transcendental Meditation) and it’s also possible that this type of medication is both the most enjoyable and easiest way to unwind, relax and unplug yourself from anxiety, stress, fatigue and nervous tension.
